Important notice regarding the procedure of issuance of Schengen visas for seafarers

This visa applies to those travelling to Greece in order to go onboard to become a member of a vessel crew.

Kindly note that Schengen visas for seafarers are being processed only by the Greek Consulate General in Johannesburg and the Greek Consulate in Cape Town.

Applicants from Johannesburg and Durban who wish to apply for a Schengen visa as seafarers need to book an appointment at the Greek Consulate General in Johannesburg by sending an email to visasgrgencon.jhb@mfa.gr.
